Baby's Fortress

Vessel of peace
wondrously blest
keeps on bringing hope
while divinely guarded
as God, the life-Source
furnishes well-being wholeness
securing baby
around caring fortress
protected inside her belly
nurtured with love
nourished midst faith...
My soul marveled at its beauty
sublimely miraculous
creatively mysterious---
---before I beheld
my Mom's gracious face.
