Baby's Birthday

Today was my youngest's birthday
I was hoping he'd sleep in
Since his birthday's in the spring
He's up before the sun
Our days are organized chaos
No matter the day of the week
Today is special though
It's my baby's birthday you see
No big party or big gifts
Just him and his brothers
Climbing, jumping, swinging, sliding
There is nothing more fun
When you're only two years of age
And so the day goes on
Ice Cream cake the topper
To a perfect day
My youngest son's birthday

A sweet poem. Our children are, of course, precious to us.
