Listen to poem:

Baby Love

that sweet paean
where you and I began
the soft concern
from those lips I yearn
was gently, quickly
coldly abandoned
tossed into a river
to drown at the muddy bottom

I know, I know
I shall plot my rebuttal
for feelings have no place
in your tribunal

I must be swift
so swift of heart and mind
when your demons
come to call

Thank you Laura. A disagreement with a woman I care about led to this poem. Thanks again.............peace!
