B L a C K

I can't imagine the darkness of blind,
Where only beautiful colour is black,
I can't imagine the day and night same,
Where sunrise and sunset are simply words,
I can't imagine life of nothingness,
	Where being blindfolded lasts forever,
I give my thanks and praise the Almighty,
For He blessed me with precious eyes to see,
I admire this beautiful world He made,
With glorious sun, brilliant moon and stars.

Such a lovely poem of thanks to God for the miracle of sight, Meenakshi. So much emotion in your poem for those who will never know this wonder. Congrats on your fine win. 7 Hugs, Sandra

yes, it is hard to imagine such darkness. think of Helen Keller who lived without sight AND sound. But she rose above it all to become a better writer than many of the poets here at Soup. It's all in the mind's "eye" Awesome poem
