Azure Blooms from Ash

Listen to poem:
Written: May 18, 2025, for contest sponsored by Karen J. ****************** Azure blooms rise from burned-out grime, Beauty is strength, and a smile its prime. Chuckles come cheap, yet brighten the day, Dogs believe the vacuum will steal them away. Engineers muse on how epic fails fly, Falls at the ending — gravity’s sly. Graceful dive — but the pool was too shallow, Hearing echt news makes my heart mellow. I turned mistakes into circus flair, Jokes with no point still lift the air. Karaoke betrayed me, cord wrapped around, Lilies and rosemary in peace abound. Melodies swirl from symphonic breath, Nothing’s as pure as a baby's first laugh. Ox tried to leap the moon — missed, but soared, Payday smiles I can't ignore. Quiddity dances in thoughtful delight, Ran the wrong way — still scored that night. Snail’s excuse? “Too much on my shell.” TV bloopers — timeless laughs that swell. Until you love an animal, your soul sleeps tight, Vivacious teens kiss under neon light. Wedding in rain, with hearts held near, Xenium: strangers fed with cheer. Yogurt gone rogue — kids cry and race, Zodiac hope in a daily embrace.
