Away in a circus
I’d lions to tame.
Controlling the wild beasts
Was my claim to fame.
Lions were escaping,
‘Twasn't me they'd eat.
Quickly, they ran past me
Hunting for fresh meat.
Acrobats were swinging.
So were one guy’s nuts.
Lions gobbled him up
He was such a dumb klutz.
The Big Top had fallen
People screamed out loud!
I nearly got trampled
By the frightened crowd.
I saw the clowns crying.
Paint dripped down each face.
I cracked my whip and said,
"You’re such a disgrace!"
Away from the circus
I found more pleasure.
Married a millionaire.
A lady of leisure.
