Away From the Land of Fools
I feel my mind emptied.
Can only hear the sound of the wind brushing with the waves, breathing fresh air
and lightning striking hoarsely as to scare and to dare, clearing the streets bare.
But there’s one person swimming, exploring the underworld sea.
The waves welcome her strength and enthusiasm to be adventurous and free.
She’s exploring the known and the unknown, what is ripe and what is raw,
what people think they know and which they blindly vouch for.
But she’s seeking other beauties and other truths,
swimming away from the land of fools
because the outside world is too occupied and obsessive
with what they think they know
with what they boast they know
with all the negativity they show
to people seeking for so much more
far away from lies anchoring the same safe shore.
