Away From Here
Far, far away from here
Desperately I long to be
And without a trace, disappear
Leaving behind the sad and lonely.
I held you close and dear
Loving you relentlessly
Always wanting you near
Not a step away from me.
I'm sorry you couldn't engineer
My interests, thoughts and personality
And now I'm gripped with this fear
That for you, good enough I'll never be.
And so like a leaf, mere
I yearn to be weightless and free
Blending into the wind and flee
Far, far away from here.
