Notes About The Poem

Away Away From You

"Fragments and crumbs of life, all the little pieces"

                                           John Ruskin, 1853

I am riding a galloping horse, On a far away lonely beach, racing along the wet sands, as sea reaches to accost my feet, the blowing breeze jolts memories, of a cradle song I have heard, rocking slowly in the moonbeams, as mum sings her lullabies, every breath a lifetime, every moment a memory, all that is gained in life through love, comes rushing back to me! silent creeps the winter snow, hustling in more past imagery, the warmth of fire, childhood desires, amidst a loving family. a sea gull calls like years before, when the evening was for you and me, meanwhile on my galloping horse, there is no where else to flee, broken, shattered, our love a remorse, but your eyes still follow me!

Gosh darn, Krish. What a fantastic creation! Firstly Congratulations on your well earned No. 1 Win. Readers are here with you, the galloping on beach opening pulls us in (to a rapturous place, easy)! Gorgeous rhythm continues to tell us your lovely life with your Mum. I think your poem says she's passed away. If that is the case, so young-- I'm sorry for the sadness and what you're missing.

Dear Sigrid Thanks and for your lovely comments! The galloping horse represents time and the ocean- the vastness of life! We are all riding this horse! My mum is well and she is 90 but she has been an important force in our lives! Warm Regards
