Avatar, Avatar
Tell me now please
Is the one you depict
A glum or a tease?

Is the one you portray
A friend or a foe?
Avatar, Avatar
Please, do let me know!

He seems debonair
She’s all sugar and spice
This one is too wild
But this one seems nice

This one is a shy
This one is too bold
This one is SIZZLING HOT!
This one seems cold

The face that you show
Is it just a disguise?
Is that blue or green
In those brilliant eyes?

Is that person who puckers
Really sexy or plain?
Is the one with the glasses
A charm or a pain?

Is Miss Beautiful
Also beautiful inside?
Does Mr. Kind Looking
Have demons to hide?

Is Miss Sultry Queen
Curvaceous and hot?
Is Mr. “I’m all that!”
All covered in spots?

Avatar, Avatar
Why are you a juicy fruit?
Or a cat or a dog
Or a partial birthday suit?

A scary faced monster
Initials short and sweet
Avatar, Avatar
To my mind you're a treat!

Avatar, Avatar,
Don’t tell me…I’ll faint
Is my favorite poet
A sinner or saint?

Kindly answer me this…
Tell me, are you for real?
These pictures I see
Do they breathe, do they feel?

Avatar, Avatar
I know that you won’t speak
Though your images lie
For I’m not strong but weak

Not one poet can peek
Past you to the real me
Avatar, Avatar...
So full of mystery!

Keep letting me know. As you are aware I tend not to frequent blogs.

There has been a lot of grief lately. Perhaps...you've made the right choice. I feel at times, that I shouldn't as well. My latest blog is about what has been going on here. Ok...I'll let you know. Hugs

Eileen; This is good, we sometimes look at some Avatars and wonder if it is really the person that you see. I know that we go through different changes in life, but here we can go through different pictures. I like your pictures - to me you seem like a happy go lucky lady and that's good. What you see of me - it's me. The only thig I hide is - my feelings. Thanks for sharing this with us. Lucilla

you've described something i've wondered about, too, and you've done it in a very delightful way, as usual! i find it interesting that you change your picture on a regular basis. i had so much trouble putting mine on there that i've been afraid to even try to change it...

Eileen, this was so cool. You bring up a good question. I reckon a person could present any image and none would be the wiser. As for me, I'm in camo half the time anyway, so I figured a camo pic was fitting...ha

Yes...I found your avatar very interesting, my dear...though I must admit...the one of you in the car is much more to my liking. You look very handsome in that one...Here...we can only guess! :)

These are great questions!!Those tiny little avatars can be deceiving! (You can't tell a book by it's cover...!!) I have to trust my gut instinct.....and over time, I "see" the heart of each poet by reading between the lines of their poems and comments.....and learn who is who...who to trust, and of whom to be wary! A great subject for your poem!

yes this indeed is a very viable question, and the poetry is so good as usual,, the avatar is again the product of what the eye can see, but Eileen i see further than that, i see the heart that beats

You seem to change your avatar more often than I change my err hmm, anyway lol. Just for you Auntie, my eyes are a beautiful green, have been told many times, though of late they is more so, but with envy of the talent they see on here lol, just kidding. Good write on something I've thought on. Take care, Richard

Hi Richard...There you are! Yes...it is a disease...It's called avataritis! I'm a sufferer. Here and on FB...I keep changing my pic to fit my mood! Green is a lovely color. Mine are light brown...run of the mill in these parts. Anyway...thans for the post. Hope you have a good day. :)
