Autumn's Leaves
Cooler air on the tips of leaves tells time.
Roots are in search of the needed moisture.
Looking to the sun for warm ray's to prime.
Realigning it"s purpose to royster.
A rain drop gives to all living things life.
Yesterday's dew drops nurtured the green stems.
Blending into new seasons without strife.
To accomplish beauty it needs this gem.
Was the clouds kind to those outstretched branches?
Did spring showers extend to summer tears?
The crevices of dirt, liquid chances.
Southern winds heighten dehydration fears.
Glorious reds, gorgeous yellows the prize.
Nature's mural of sunset and rise.
