Autumn's Dreams of a Country Road

This reminds me of some roads of my area..

Autumn's dream of a country road Where houses are few and moving slowed. Leaves are turning gold_ red_ burgundy. Inside a warm home apples are candy. In a barn or cellar cold winter foods quickly stowed Against winter's coming and inches snowed. Autumn dreams of snuggling nights when windy Breeze carries tune;close by snacks_ hot chocolate handy. A great write my friend. This one made me homesick for our old home on the farm when I was a young kid. I dearly loved those woods behind the house and the fields out front! Adding this one to my fav list t and thanks for bringing back sweet memories!

Oh, this is a wonderfully dreamy poem, Sara. I loved living in the country "where houses were few." You took me back to childhood days with the snow and the hot chocolate. Would you believe I never had a candy apple? Terrific entry for Rick's contest and I wish you success. Love, Carolyn

I live in the very hot country, were never the snow it does fall, and you sleep on top of the sheet, without any clothes at all... thats right ...summer time

Great write here Sara! I really enjoyed the two lines, "Autumn's dream of a country road, Where houses are few and moving slowed" this is so very true...I go out to my elderly grandmothers house often and things do go slower out there and neighbors are in fact far apart! Such a perfect two lines!! Wonderful work!
