Autumn's Blaze

Oh, the earthy scents,
the crisp chill in the morns air.
Colors that fill the
palate, to paint Autumn's blaze.
Does out do, the Peacocks tail.

Brilliant hues combine
to create a fire false.
Yet, it warms the heart.
You feel a welcoming pull.
Nature shows off her new clothes.

Then, ever so slow,
the leaves drain of their color.
When the time is right,
they take that big leap of faith.
Drifting, softly to the ground.

Walking among them,
I feel a new joy waking.
Filling me with hope,
bringing with it a calmness.
All is right, within my world.
