Autumn's Beauty

Although the trains roll steadily by,
Most trucks hauling seeds from
Fields of beans and corn are done
Most farmers have said goodbye.

The heat is fading gradually,
And where once there were corn stalks,
Autumn is allowing us to gladly walk
The countrysides a lot more leisurely.

Grasses and trees are turning brown.
Apart from trains, there's very little sound.
A simple sunset never ceases to astone.
Presently, there's not much rain around.

Before long, our friendly fowls will stop by
To feast from fields before going further South.
Soon, we'll see hay bails and lots of pumpkins.

Many minds are shifting into the festive Fall.
There's good reason to celebrate Summer's end.
Autumn's bridge is great. Winter's chills await.
