From my window today I noticed a tall tree
already turning colors in degrees
but still green hued . . .
a Maple drops her red leaves free
while others are tinged gold . . .
The lovely Aspens are stark with straight trunks of white
with leaves painted in orange tints so bright
and breathtaking . . .
like an artist composed this sight
and I wish to be part . . .
I step outside and the wind takes my hair away
like golden tendril vines that twist and play
in the sweet air . . .
and though the sky is colored gray
I find today divine . . .
