Each autumn comes with vivid memories,
awakening my sensitivities
to smiles and sorrows of the years gone by
still moving me to laugh, reflect, and cry.
I’m looking at a special photo book.
How sweet my mama and my nephew look!
It was in fall we lost them. Now the sight
of loved ones born in autumn brings delight.
I’ll lay my book aside and say a prayer
of thanks for autumn joys beyond compare.
With loved ones and my memories, I’m blessed.
I have God’s guidance for each daily quest.
