Autumn Splendor

A
path to
harmony
is one adorned
with vermilion hues.
Pumpkin leaves, remnants of
summer’s verdant colors now
drifting through the woodland splendor
through argentine skies, unified, a mélange
of the magnificence autumn bestows.

I can almost smell the scent of all you describe and see it too.

Thanks. I’m so happy to share my ‘sad’ poem and to have made it (barely) into the top in Michael's contest. I like your 'Autumn Splendor'. You have two words in the second to last line I've never used and have now learned- thanks Teacher. ~Jim

Is the Poetry Forethought group yours? If it is, I think I joined - can't be sure. I had so many failures, little things, evidently, not quite right. Love, daver

Your poem flows with a video like melange of related imagery and so very pleasant to read and picture. Thank you so much for your welcome comment Connie. It's been too long since I've viewed your poems which has been my loss. I shall correct that. God bless you and yours

connie, it's so good to see you here commenting tonight. I am sure poets must love to hear from you! It's not so much my shoulder as the upper back in general. I took one of the pain pills my doc gave me. Maybe it's something I am eating that makes the inflammation worse on one day than another. Anyway, I just have to fave this one. It's magnificent.
