Autumn Sonnet
Autumn Sonnet
November 13, 2019
When the leaves begin to fall fast you know
That the weather will begin to get cold
The wind will have gusts and the wind will blow
Whether you’re young or even real old.
The leaves turn colors like yellow and red
The cold air freezes to ice on your brow
You wish you could just stay warm in your bed
But daylight lasts less so be busy now.
Holidays come to many around us
Some people lonely while some feel complete
Parents realize their duty and fuss
To make little ones kind to those they greet.
We wish for the warmth of the coming spring
The rebirth of nature’s beauty we sing.
