Autumn Scene

AUTUMN SCENE

Something framed within tells an autumn scene
Though grass be still green
Flowers yet bloom in lively color
A lonely bush flaps the protective white house siding
Southward leans
And o’er the rooftops
Clouds blown dizzy in confusion
Race against the Moon
Billow such far away grays
That something contained within
Tells of autumn days

Definitely one of the best poems on the approach of autumn that I have ever read, Daver. Your description of the green grass and flowers reminds me of fall in Florida, but I know pansies and chrysanthemums can peer out even through some snow. Magnificent! Love, Carolyn

My favorite time of the year but so fleeting. Wish it lasted longer. Love this verse as the feeling in it is kind of sad.

The shadows show the seasons and the color of the sky....very beautiful. I wrote a poem about having to deal with putting my inlaws in a nursing home and taking away their rights. let me know what you think.....very hard days.
