Autumn Royal
Rains came and went at the end of summer
Ginger sky now dons the attire in blue
Winds blow gentle telling winter is near
Trees see the branches take on amber hue
Umber leaves forget they were green when new
They suffer silently the autumn’s fall
Spread on the ground at cinnamon soil’s call.
Crimson sun sets evening sky on fire
Washed by rain my mind gets all the colors
In my backyard in left over summer
Survive still the climbing pumpkin creepers
Saffron rose wavers before it withers
To remind me I paint the autumn scene
Winter follows the fall brings spring within.
