Autumn Romance
A ll a fluster the pages flew from
U nder my arm as I bumped into you.
T ime was of the essence, the meeting due.
U nder duress, I think you knew.
M eeting on our hunkers gathering pages I
N oticed you staring at me for ages.
R ecalling that day last September.
O ne year on I can still remember.
M y heart beating fast beneath my breast,
A s you pulled me against your manly chest.
N ow engaged to be wed in the spring I
C an still not believe how fate intervened.
E ros took control that day it seemed.
