Autumn Reverie

Dream leaf “fall” usher
motley hue cascade unfurled
dull grey sky gaunt sun
mud strewn pockmarks on limp moss
wet nabs ripe fruit orchard splurge

Autumnal tanka splendor, Howard. A vibrant and worthy entry, congratulations on your 3rd Place podium win, bard buddy! Much creativity and inspiration to you this late November weekend. My daughter turns 42 this coming Wednesday. I can still recall the days leading up to her birth. My first twinge of her impending birth was Thanksgiving night. She was our little, "Turkey baby." She gets a kick out of that. Have a grand Saturday. Warmest wishes
