Autumn Night

the river seemed to wind forever amongst the golden trees the sunshine made a lazy day amid the autumn breeze the green of mountains up above cascading streams below thats how the autumns used to be on nights so long ago there was such beauty in the land with blue grey skies above you could here waters buff the sand and robins sing of love i heard a whipperwill cry low a dove sent back the call a bluejay perched upon a bough i thought he would surely fall down by the river where i would go to spend some time at night i would watch the twinkling of a star till it went out of sight so much to view at setting sun a beauty to behold the silence of an autumn night back in the days of old
