Autumn Leaves
When leaves in the midst of trees change their hues
Turning to a sweet palette of colours
From yellow to orange, purple and gold
They herald coming of the autumn train.
When leaves of a kaleidoscope of tints
Hang on trees, it is time to quit one`s books,
Venture for a stroll in the nearby park
And relish the eyes with nature`s brilliance.
When leaves from midst of trees whirl in the air
Whipped by wet winds whispering from the north
And softly land to kiss the humid ground
It is time to reflect on their essence.
Mellowing and fallen autumn leaves
Bring to light nature`s solemn cycle,
The brevity of the life of leaves
And their renewal in the coming season.
In the same vein the fall of autumn leaves
Is akin to the withering of man,
Liberation from the bondage of life
And the hopes for rebirth in a new garb.
