Autumn Leaves

Autumn leaves up, soaring high
They soar high toward the sky
For from their bonds, they were set free
To roam around and have a spree

They soar high up and above
Like nomad souls searching for love
They wander into the horizon
In amber blaze, in gliding motion

They don't fall, just fade away
To a place where they should stay
They don't wither, just change hue
They don't die, just live anew

With the wind, they roam around
Before they settle on the ground
And with the wind, they fly again
And then, they sail with the rain

I have read your contest entry and found it to be delightful. I like the way that you took flight with the leaves and let me feel what they might be feeling. Thank you for participating. Sara
