Autumn Lady

As Autumn walks across the mountain range
Under the veil of summer's fading green
The trees give praise with crimson carpet change
Upon each peak and valley to be seen.
Make way for her, the soon arriving queen!
No tribute does she ask you save for this
Let cooling winds uplift your weariness
And warming hues afford your spirit ease.
Do not ignore her beauty or you'll miss
Your chance to walk with her among the trees.

I love your Autumn Lady poem. Autumn is my favorite season too. Wonderful combination of forms too. SuZ

what a wonderful Dizain and even better that you did it acrostic style!

Your have such vivid imagery, Jesse, I especially like 'crimson carpet change' - fall has been delayed in my neck of the woods, and I would like to talk a walk with your autumn lady (also well done acrostic!)

I live in Florida so no real leaf changes here either. I'm using my memories of when I lived in upstate NY
