Love this! Autumn is beautiful AND back-breaking. We are fortunate enough to have mostly pines around our home, but we have one giant black walnut, and every other year we pick up thousands of them!

Thank you. Brings back a memory of us piling up walnuts and running over them with the car to break away the husks. It took forever to get the walnut stain off our hands. Have a terrific weekend, Linda.

Yep. I have degenerative back disease, which I believe is a common ailment as you get older. Indeed, the neighborhood kids really profit off of my old age!!! LOL

A good way to get an aching back and as we get older harder to do. Lots of trees so lots of leaves so can relate. love phyl

I can relate to this. I live with many trees around and get tons of leaves that I need help with every fall. Well done :)

Good soak in the bath will ease your back Milton Whilst I love the autumn the downside is the falling leaves that you have to sweep up, our neighbour has a giant tree and when the wind blows my way I get his as well. Tom

I would desist from doing this. Too much arthritis. I employ a maid for a few hours every fortnight.

Good idea, Victor. I suspect all of us elders suffer from a bit of arthritis. I have it terribly in my joints.
