Autumn Is Ending

Golden color hangs on fading light
a slumber started to cold night
waters withdraw in the streams
clouds pass into gray dreams
Autumn is Ending

Insect chorus dies with sun
to brisk now their work done
Picnic tables rest now dreary silent
in shade now cooled warmth all absent
Autumn is Ending

Breath moves and hangs on air
Path between the pines meet there
Where water current stills
Wait there for me unending wills
Autumn is Ending

Ocean breeze so distant pending
spray on the rocks is autumn ending
