Very nice. Gives me almost a nautical feel. Autumn waving good bye to the summer ship as its flags flutter in the breeze. Maybe its the word carnival-Carnival Cruise lines, Where is my mind going. Guess its time for a vacation.

Oh, to be able to sail off on a whim, James. Sadly, where I live, just five miles down the road is a village which is the furthest point from any coastline in Britain. I may have to settle for a paddle in the garden. Regards, Viv

Thanks Paul, I think that Autumn's melancholia suits the haiku perfectly. Getting cold now with darker evenings- not a big fan of this time- could do with being over your way for sajf ta' san Martin, methinks. Regards, Viv
