Autumn Eventide

autumn eventide

drowsy autumn yawns
 early darkness stunts her days ~
  twilight mellow haze

cool evening dozes
 autumn savors frost in dusk ~
  scarlet afterglow

fading eventide
 croons a sunset lullaby ~
  sweet spice of autumn

sleepy autumn eyes
 daylight slips into midnight ~
  vesper barcarolles

hectic harvest time
 abundant crops gathered in ~
  amber moon rises

autumn gently snores
 cornucopia dreams ~
  astral autumn fields
