Autumn Colours

i am surrounded by a blaze of flaming colors in God's garden.
autumn happily creating with her palette in hand the September scape.

a thousand shades of reds, yellows, browns, earth tones spread,
blended perfectly by the artist's loving hand, a sensual delight.
a masterpiece, sketched against a bark colored scrim of nature's flesh.

with my eyes opened wide and my body clothed in autumns light
quenched but still wanting, unwillingly i stagger away, drunk from exposure.

came way back here to give you a big thanks for seeing so many of my old poems today. Yes, I love many forms . Probably I have written more limericks, triolets and haiku than all of the other short forms. wish I had time to search for a poem of yours I've not seen. Please hurry and put up these new gems you say you are writing!!

Congratulations on your well-deserved placement in Francine's contest. In autumn an spring, "the artist's loving hand" is most evident and you described the colors as well as the effect they have on you beautifully. Love, Carolyn

My Prayer : May the fertility of my mind and the fecundity of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Gaia, Goddess of the earth. Such a fecund heart - your o'euvre overwhelms me! Your mind my mind meets! (o sweet spontaneous earth how often have the doting fingers of prurient philosophers pinched and poked thee ....(e e cummings)). More, more - a sarabande to Fall, a tango to Winter, a fandango to Spring, and a waltz to Summer, perhaps. Get crackin' and don't spare the cerecration. Lots o' room.
