Autumn Beauty

Leaves have floated into piles,
luminous colors for miles and miles;
burgundy, burnt orange and yellow hovering,
the trees slowly relinquishing and surrendering.

A cool breeze makes them dance,
some quiet and calm, some leap and prance;
the autumn sky, so ever changing,
clouds moving, billowing and expanding.

One blustering cold wind,
the piles empty where once leaves had been;
a brilliant sun touches a tree,
and lovely stained glass windows, I now see.

One of the most beautiful poems I have ever read. The colorful imagery of fallen leaves left me, as a seasonal poem fan, more than pleased.

Absolutely beautiful. It reminds of a wedding I attended in Quebec during autumn, I saw the stained glass windows in the woods. Well done. Lee
