Autumn and the Leaves

Autumn in the leaves Speckling change with crisping dew when a season done with green (as earth's sky paling blue) putting to rest the old making way for God's new; I finger the age-spots... other blemishes nature's obvious rots-- preparing for again our spring touching the ring I still wear for cherish-- such vows were never made to perish I rewrite, with death we do not part for no temporary a true heart....

You have an observant eye, Joe, and sensitivity in your heart. In my e-mail and responses to your poetry, I thought we could converse artistically. BTW, Joe, I'm 79 years old. Thanks for the compliment in thinking I was young, if only....

Young at heart is good. I often wonder who that aged stranger in the mirror is?.... Oh well, as long as he still writes poetry, he gets a pass. :) I believe Joe is what I do, and art is who I am--I know that makes sense to you. Blessings my friend!
