Autumn

When I was but a youngster Autumn meant one thing That Halloween meant fun In spooky ways Today I'm none the wiser But older more than some And all my Autumn days Are holidays Oh how I love the feeling The coolness of the day The leaves that fall in hues Of gold and red The winds that blow to greet me The way they catch the leaves And even blow the cobwebs From my head But most of all so dearly I love the Autumn rains The way they bring such peace To calm my soul The thunder and the lightning Are never really frightening When mother nature’s hand Is in control And when the storm is finished And worms come out to play The world is like a wonderland Of fun Oh how I love the Autumn The colors of the day And how I seem to love Just everyone.

Thank you, Andrea. But tell me: Who captures the stars, and dips them in a rose-water sea, one by one, where silky starfish kisses gently caress the cheeks of beautiful mermaid maidens with perfect pearl skin and red hair like fuchsia blossoms, glistening like dragon-fire coral in the mid-day sun, where translucent baby seahorses swim in secret grottos of golden dreams and misty moonlight beams. Yea, it's you!
