Autumn

Autumn arrives, its breath a cool breeze. Birds forming echelons travel the sky. Sunlight bedazzles the bright leaves of trees. Poets like me may be prone to sigh, wistfully bidding the summer goodbye. Aug. 24, 2019 Contest: Writing Challenge 3, August 2019- Five Lines- Poetry Contest Sponsor: Dear Heart - Wiishkobi Ode Form I used: An English Quintain is a poem that consists of five lines hence the "quint" in quintain. A quintain does not have a specific length for each line. It can be as short or as long as the poet likes. The rhyme scheme of an English quintain is a/b/a/b/b.

There's nothing left of summer's breeze. Except the coolness of heat to ease. With hint's of season's change to come. And sounds of distant, bah rumpa bum bum. <3 :)

So sweet. I love the colors of fall. Tea under the tree at noon, with tiny fairies that dance while they serve cupcakes... Hugs my friend. Have the best sigh...ever... Ann

"sunlight bedazzles the bright leaves of trees" - I was noticing this exact thing this morning but did not say it in such a poetic way! Good luck in Constance's contest, my friend.

I know how much you enjoy summer living in the Four Seasons. I feel just the opposite. It has been so humid here most of us are looking forward to the cooler fall. Our fall and winter are one in the same. You have given emotion to the seasons in this beauty Andrea. I will see this on the winner's list, I hope! : ) xxoo
