Picture taken by me from my front door ... I couldn't step outside because the water was an inch & a half from coming into my home.  An hour before the rain had started pouring,  a blue bird had perched on my back yard fence, and my brother had just finished mowing our yards.

Autumn blue bird perch. Black clouds hover, backyard turns into pond- sunshine 5/7/2019

Eve, congratulations on your win in my writing challenge with this excellent poem. I like your image too. We have massive flooding in the Ottawa area, homes are literally floating away from their foundations!

I like the rain. :) You have painted such a beautiful picture with your words. Of course, the sunshine lingers after moments from the sky have saturated the earth. ~ Brandy

Today has been a very scary time for me. It started at 12:15 noon, one minute it was nice and the next it was pouring down buckets and it is 11pm and still raining.
