Autobiography

Beneath my favorite tree,
I asked the wind to carry me
to lands across the sea.

In time, my friend, the wind, complied
and took me to the world's other side,
where I gladly lived until I died.

In between those two events,
I lived in palaces and tents,
as an affront to common sense.

So cool. What inspired this?

Thanks, Andrea! I have to admit, my mind was just wandering, and I didn't really know what I was writing about. It just kind of popped into my head this way. If I think about it, maybe it does mirror my life: daydreaming under trees as a kid, living a different life as an adult, and last but not least, now I don't make any sense - lol.
