August, My Old Friend
August, my old friend
You came back
I have a favor could ask
Can you hold me better than my July did?
If not, bear with me
I'll be in need
August, I'm not perfect!
But please hold me tight
Invite me not to frustrations
I had plenty of that gift
And I'm no need for more
I hope you listen, August
Invite me for a drink or a coffee
Or maybe to silence
Tranquil, isn't it?
We'd be spending 744 hours
For a Rollercoaster ride
Better than my July did?
I need more gifts from you August
Am I too much? Please hold me tight!
I didn't beg July
But I beg you August now
Do you hear me?
Can you read me, August?
