Appreciate some time out for annual holidays. Unify with friends, or bask in warm sun rays. Go and visit attractions, or a far flung beach. Unfamiliar places you must travel to reach. Summer days shorten, soon it will be fall. The most colorful season of them all!

Jan, contrasting with the beautiful poetic description that you created, here we are still in winter... the times of August are heavy... good poetry of joy my poet friend... salute, alkas

August certainly is the month for the change of seasonal color. My acrostic says so, too. Good entry, Jan.

When I was a youngster, I used to look forward to August, breaking up from school for our long summer holidays. All the best in the contest Andrea.
