Au Revoir

Blood drips cold through breathless necrotic lips, au revoir.

Meant to be a question about life and death. au revoir (roughly meaning until we meet again) suggests that death may not be the end, but if we continue past death what awaits us, heaven? a vampyric life? ghost? some unknowable dimensional existence where our "soul" mingles with the molecules of the universe and we become the new life that forms on other worlds? Who knows. (Sorry, got a bit existential there). Thanks for the visit.

"Necrotic" - A word we don't see everyday, and a great one to use in a poem! Powerful one, James. Always, Laura

Yes...the shape of blood. What an interesting way to drip your words on the "page". Necrotic lips cannot praise this piece, so I will! ;)

Hi Nette, nice to hear from you. So we have something in common, cool. I used to take my daughters rock hunting in an area called Hiddenite, NC. I once found a small blue Tiger Eye. Thanks for the nice comment.
