Attitude of Gratitude

I proudly wear a smile even though I have lost a few teeth
I am growing old gracefully and for this I am grateful.

A few grey hair pop in here and there
I am still alive and for this I am grateful.

Wrinkles, oh how they grin at me when I stare in the mirror
I still manage to take cute selfies and for this I am grateful.

I do not have all I want but I sure have all I need
I have never gone to bed hungry and for this I am grateful.

I have so much to be thankful for, complaining is not my style.
I have had many struggles but the good times outweigh the bad.

We often hear that attitude determines altitude; I have proven this to be true
Being grateful is helping me to live a fulfilled life.

"Attitude determines altitude", I like that! It seems you have a lovely attitude of gratitude towards life, and are not bothered greatly by the color of hair or wrinkles that trouble so many. The heart is the work of art and the body is just the frame. Wonderful writing, best wishes in the Gratitude contest ~ John
