Atonement Applied
THE ATONEMENT APPLIED
A "Man" stands in the Heavenly courts--
His death for sin will now atone.
There are scars on head, side, and hands.
He raises these hands and pleads for His own.
On earth, a Lamb, His blood He shed.
In heaven, High Priest, that blood He pleads
His righteous life and willing death,
As we kneel in prayer with all our needs.
He pleads our cause in these last days,
Our only hope to overcome
The last great fight in Satan's war,
And thus be sealed when victory's won.
For when He leaves the Heavenly Courts
And prepares to take His children home,
No longer will He atone for sin.
Probation's hour is forever gone.
Today, dear ones, He pleads your case;
Tomorrow brings, so soon, the end.
We can't delay to give Him all--
God's Lamb, High Priest, our King and Friend.
