At the Footbridge

at the footbridge, I stand musing at my discovery- I began my country hike early in the morning oh what a find- this old mossy stone bridge and under, a gentle forest creek silently flows on it is such a lovely scene I want to linger and dream where hidden birds are singing perhaps take out pen and paper the ground is covered with tiny wildflowers and mighty trees droop giving shade as I rest then- I step on the stone bridge to slowly meander to the other side. _________________________________ May 22, 2020 (edit from July 22, 2016) Poetry/Free Verse/at the footbridge Copyright Protected, ID 20-1254-037-03 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Submitted to Brian's Choice P sponsor, Brian Strand Third Place

This poem has such a lovely lingering lazy feel. Makes me want to find this spot.
