At the Cross
At the cross crucified,
Let me die to all allurements,
To the world and its glories,
Let the world be crucified to me,
On the true cross where I die.
I am crucified on the cross,
And dead to the world,
With all its fascinations,
To adore and live for Christ alone;
His life of resurrection to bear.
This cross at which I died ,
Will help me truely to account,
For all the moments spent on earth,
Each day a new victory on earth,
By the power of the cross.
