At the Break of Day

At the break of day
As the sun's rosy glow
Has begun to show
Where sky meets land in wake.

Birds begin their greeting
The deer wakes her fawn
With a kiss upon its nose
And immediately begins feeding.

The lily so white and pure
Opens up her petals
To the climbing astral
That lights up skies in blue azure.

Cannot help but smile
For the night has gone away
The clouds of yesterday
Have disappeared and I rise.

With the bird, I sing to Him
For the glory of the new day
That is waiting for me to shape
A future that will honor Him.

To walk the way by the side
Of the one who has appeared
To take my hand and walk with me
And I am complete at last.
