At Peace

That July morning you left with the dawn. Finally done with a life full & long. You brightened our lives with your wisdom & love, & still shine upon us now from Heaven above. Today, though our hearts are heavy with sorrow The sun will still rise with a brand new tomorrow. & though we can't see you, you'll always be near. For death can't diminish a loved one so dear. We all have a time & we all have a date, To meet with our maker at Heaven's pearly gate. Reunited at last with those gone before, Peaceful & perfect it's all that & more. There's no aches or pain, no sadness you'll see. So grieve not too long for her souls been set free. Free from the body, for it's but a shell. A spirit at peace, you lived your life well.
