At Last, a Son - Tritena Contest

She wanted a daughter, her husband a son
They've had a baby, these lovely words are new
Been waiting for years for a live child to be born

Many times in labour, always still born
Grandparents waited to hold their grand-son
Tears of joy were shed, overwhelming hope is new

A nursery been prepared all sparkly clean and new,
smile on their faces when a crying baby was born,
Heart bursting with joy, at last, a son

Want to shout from the rooftop, at last we have a ......"New Born Son"

A.....new
B.....born
C.....son

Awesome, Seren!! actually you don't have to do the last three words like that in direct order in the last line, though it looks very nice in your poem. I had a discussion with Craig about it, and he realized it is ok to mix those words up in the final line!(I had researched it online and I hope Craig won't mark my poem down for it!)

Well done Seren ... I remember when having my first , my biggest concern was the heath of the baby. Everyone always asked what I wanted.....I like how you brought the end lines into a beautiful saying...hugs Tim
