Notes About The Poem

At Dawn

There were days When I just couldn’t pray I know, on those days… He still made a way He prepared me in amazing ways With His light illuminating… My faith, my dreams, my belief In the One who created the stars For those who listen, quietly…. For His voice,… His heart There were those days When I didn’t know what to say Couldn’t see my way out Beyond the struggles, the doubts The clouds that left me feeling Like I was in need of healing During those days of darkness There in the shadows, I found the answers to my hope The colors were vibrant and bold Breathing peace to my soul Burning away all the pain and hurt With joy, compassion, wonders So brilliant and wise, so warm They felt like I was being embraced By the light of the morning Son!
