AT A DISTANCE

See that girl
The one with pink
Flitting about
With careless wonder
We must keep her
At a distance

I know she's a child
She looks harmless
Look at her dance
When there's no music
Strange, allusive
Even at a distance

Don't talk to her
She'll invite herself
To the party
Then put you under
A witch's spell
Nearly at any distance

Mama, NO!
Don't make me meet her
I don't like her
She's naked
I need to spank her
For being sexual
In the distance

As she stands
Face to face
In my faltering presence
I see her for who she is
She is the me
I left in the distance
