Isaiah 53:6 KJVS All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him (Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God) the iniquity of us all.

Jeremiah 50:6-7 KJVS My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace.

Psalm 23:1-4 KJVS The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. [2] He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. [3] He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. [4] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

All we, like sheep, have strayed From the good and righteous way Choosing a shepherd to lead the flock Is the difference between pasture or rocks One will feed and nurture the sheep fold The other waits over the edge, below Follow the Black sheep to the brink Or the false shepherd, distracted with drink Go your own way with little light All will bring you to a disastrous plight The Good Shepherd leads with rod and staff To protect, and guide on a true and safe path

We often like to think we know better, don't we? But unguided by the light, we'll just end up lost.

So true isn't it? Jesus will lead down the narrow road, Satan the wide and open one. It's a choice, but there's no middle road, just two. Nice one Crys

Thank you! At least the narrow way is bright with light! The wide road is dark and spooky! Xo

Temptation is not a sin. Our discipleship guards against it becoming an active agenda. Thank you, Jesus. And CDub for the reminder. :o))

You're right! But it is the first step on a slippery slope. I'm with you, thank you Jesus for the ability to repent and be forgiven of we fall and for the strength to flee from sin in the first place. Thx for commenting! Xo

With all the temptations coming our way it’s easy to fall astray and fall by the wayside. Avoiding temptation leads us on the right path. Good luck in the contest Crystol. Tom

Yess for sure! I believe that was the point Jesus was trying to make when he said to look at someone with lust is adultery... it all begins with our minds and thoughts. Nip it in the bud! Ty! Xo

There are so many perspectives which is what makes poetry so personal...we can usually find our own and relate or see things from another's view and grow! Tnx! Xo
